RGA Arizona TV Ad: "Safe"

A local civil rights leader is calling on Gov. Doug Ducey to denounce an attack ad against his Hispanic opponent as racist.

"Racially motivated attack ads are pretty much dog whistles but now we're seeing bull horns," said Roy Tatem, president of the East Valley NAACP.

Tatem is referring to a 30-second spot -- paid for by the Republican Governors Association -- that features the mother of a white family telling voters that David Garcia, the Democratic nominee for governor, is unsafe for Arizona.
